The third and final illustration for my character study of Joan d'Arc. This is the image depicting her historical death where she was burned alive. I wanted to create an image with a lot of emotion. Looking at Joan's expression shows the pain that she's in and the injustice that she feels. One thing I learned and practiced through this piece is the lighting that is created by fire.
